Hey, everyone! I finally did something with the old HFH website that has been down for two months. Aren't you excited? Yeah, neither am I.

Ok, so here is the deal. HFH is kind of dead right now because Duerst has moved onto bigger and better things, and I am moving out of state for college pretty soon. But like a pheonix rising from the ashes (or like NN2S) it will eventually come back alive as a super-zombie who will suck out your brains with a straw.

In the mean time, however, I've decided to collect all the HFH links I can find:

-HFH @ Purevolume: This website has a mini-bio, some pictures, and that stupid "Last Hour" clip for download.

-HFH @ PAHardcore: Same mini-bio and clip as purevolume, but we have a lot more listens on this one.

-HFH @ IUMA: This website has a really bad version of "Alone Forever" for download plus a couple of different mini-bios. There is also a comment page where people tend to post some weird stuff.

-HFH @ HXCmp3: This site has three songs on it. The first is the same "Last Hour" clip that is everywhere. The second is a clip of "Armory" which is a song I've always really liked and I don't think it's on any other site. The third is the live version of "Concerta" and I can't remember if it's good or bad. There is also a pretty cool picture of us on that page.

-HFH @ ACMEnoise: This site has a demo of "Concerta" and the ever-popular "Last Hour (clip)". Have fun with this one.

-HFH Message Board: No one uses this anymore, but I figured I'd put it on here anyway. I'm sure there are some interesting old posts.

-HFH LiveJournal Community: No one uses this anymore either (except to spam), but I think you might find some cool stuff on here.

Ok, well that is my list. If I think of anything more, I will upade it.

... I don't think it matters, though, because I don't think anyone is reading this.

Went to a good show tonight.

First band... can't remember their name, but they were pretty bad anyway.

After that there was this guy called The Show is the Rainbow. It was pretty fucking weird, but also really fucking funny. I don't even know how to describe his music... my suggestion would be to google it and see if you can download anything.

Next up was El Oso. Good as usual. I mooched off the free merch like I do at all of their shows I go to. They are really good, but for some reason their music always makes me tired.

Finally was Troubled Hubble. In a word, they were awesome. I currently own 4 of their CDs and all of them are really good. They write songs about the weirdest shit, but it's always a good time when going to see them. I think they have "Nancy" up for download on their website, so go check that out. If you can find the song "I Love My Canoe" download that too.

CD's bought recently:

"Lifted Or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground" By Bright Eyes. Yes, I know that's a long title, but it's a damn good CDs. "Bowl of Oranges" is an awesome song. I need to buy more Bright Eyes CDs.

Boxcar Racer's Self-Titled. I've been meaning to get this CD for awhile, I've just been too lazy until now. Good CD, but there are a few songs I think suck (I still think most of it is good).

Mentalities change, but I stay the same.

Last night was Reel Big Fish. The songs were awesome and they played flawlessly... it was so much fun. Opening for RBF was Catch 22, RX Bandits, and Lucky Boys Confusion. Catch 22 was amazing, RX Bandits kept fucking up and weren't very good, and LBC was alright, but they only played one song that I actually knew.

Overall the night was amazing.

Warped Tour

Went to Warped Tour yesterday and it was amazing. I can't write about it all in here because there is just too much to say. I will however say that Taking Back Sunday was amazing... moshing to "Great Romances" was so much fun. I am looking forward to their new CD on the 27th.

Ok, so today I went to see Straylight Run. I never really listened to any of their stuff, but I figured I'd check them out. So, I go there and there's about 30-40 other people there, so it wasn't too bad. They come on stage and I'm blown away. They are amazing.

After the show, John Nolan was sitting on the side of the stage. I went over to him and shook his hand and told him that it was amazing. I'm so glad I went.

I have no idea why I am writing this story in this journal. I have another one... a better one. I guess I just wanted to share that story publicly (I doubt anyone reads this anyway).

The moral of the story is to go and check out Straylight Run. They have a bunch of free songs for download on their website: http://www.straylightrun.com

Today I broke down and ordered some pins. They are real cool. I don't feel like putting the designs online because I am lazy and I don't think anyone really cares or reads this anyway. They should be here in a few weeks... I'm looking forward to that.

In other HFH news, there is a new site with some HFH MP3s... Click Here for the HFH ACMEnoise page. On it is the stupid clip of Last Hour and an old demo of Concerta that isn't anywhere else on the web. I encourage to go check that out.

It looks like it's time for my weekly update (which I really haven't been keeping to, but whatever). So, we are now completely out of HFH pins, which is actually a good thing because that means it's time to make more! However, I have decided to delay making more pins.

Don't freak out! Ok, I know no one cares, but I've decided to make stickers instead!

The Nicolet spoken word went well. I have live audio of "Concerta" that I will put online eventually. Isn't that exciting? We also ran out of pins at it, so I'm going to have to make more (maybe I'll make some stickers too).

Also, there should be a Nicolet Unplugged thing coming soon. I'm not sure when or anything, but it will be cool. I keep everyone (e.g. the two people that will read this) updated.

I haven't recorded anything in awhile, but I have been writing. To prove it, I recorded an 18 second clip of a song called "Armory" which you can listen to by clicking here. Be warned because I just kind of hit record and played (and sang), so everything about it is kind of crappy. I couldn't do any better of a recording though, because my microphone sucks (click here to see why).

I would appreciate comments on what you think even though the clip is so short... you'll get to hear the full song this summer after I record!

What's new? Well, the picture page was updated again recently with pictures by Natasha. I hope you guys (e.g. the three people that read this) like pictures because many more will be taken with my new camcorder. I'm going to get someone to tape the next nicolet thing we play at in Feb and hopefully I'll figure out how to put video up by then.

I think I'm going to take down the HFH message board. No one uses it, so I doubt anyone will care. Anyway, I need some suggestions to make the HFH site better and more interesting. Since three people read this, I expect three suggestions in the comments section!

The new hfh url is www.hfhmusic.com. Isn't that just amazing? Ok, it really doesn't matter because you can still use the old http://hfh.zor.org but the cool people use the new one.

I was thinking of moving this to the main page instead of having the news because this is updated more and has more cool info in it. Also, as it is, I think only 2 or 3 people other than me read this. Isn't that sad?

There are new pictures on the HFH Website thanks to Brad Ruppa. All the new ones are in sexy black and white.

There should be more pictures coming soon and hopefully eventually some video.
